Maeve is a Designer. She joined New Practice in April 2019.

Before joining New Practice, Maeve worked for Architecture and Design Scotland (A&DS) where she worked on a variety of projects. Much of Maeve’s work at A&DS involved engaging with local authorities and cross-disciplinary groups to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Maeve was one of the founding cohort of the London School of Architecture (LSA). Her thesis explored the relationship between domestic and civic life. Before, and during, her time at the LSA Maeve worked in architecture practice (DSDHA, Assael) in London. She worked on masterplan, public realm and housing projects.

Maeve brings this breadth of experience to New Practice, where she can build upon her interests and skills.

“Alongside the design of buildings, I am interested in how the spaces in-between can create a sense of place...

... and in how new models of citizen-led development can create more resilient housing, infrastructure and neighbourhoods. “
