Molly joined New Practice in 2022 with over 9 years of experience working on architecture, urban design and engagement projects. She works from London.
Molly completed her Masters in Architecture at the London School of Architecture (LSA) as one of the founding cohorts. During her time at LSA, Molly worked for DSDHA on several high-profile research and community-centred masterplanning projects.
Before joining New Practice, Molly worked at ZCD Architects, where she led engagement and estate-regeneration projects across London. Molly worked directly with local communities, seeking to understand their lived experiences and engaging with residents as experts of their neighbourhoods.
During her time at Publica, she advised on visions and strategies for large-scale developments in central London and delivered best practice guidance for local authorities. ‘Making London a Child-Friendly City’ as part of the Good Growth by Design programme defined an exemplary approach for young Londoners to be healthier and happier through the built environment.
Before moving to London, Molly developed reactive urban development strategies and cultural pilot projects in Amsterdam at Space&Matter, and worked on the construction phase of De Ceuvel - an award-winning sustainable workplace for creative and social enterprises on a former shipyard.
““I’m excited about creating designs and strategies that support thriving neighbourhoods–through centring communities, sustaining cultural spaces and promoting play opportunities.
While place-based practice has the opportunity to improve the lived experiences of local communities, most important is valuing what is already there and nurturing what is possible with the people that live, work and play in these places.””
