Zoe is a Designer. She joined New Practice in 2021.

Prior to joining the practice, Zoe achieved a first class Bachelors Degree at the Glasgow School of Art in Architecture, also receiving a GIA Commendation for her portfolio and the Lynn Scobie Memorial Prize for her contribution to the student community. Zoe worked for Page\Park on a variety of projects between 2019-2020, namely on the extension and refurbishment of a Library in Somerset.

Zoe is passionate about making places that work well for all who use them and that are sustainable, both environmentally and socially. Since joining New Practice she has contributed to the delivery of a number of projects which focus on examining the future of the high street, and town centres, from the bespoke design of parklets in Glasgow’s Southside to delivering Scotland’s very first permanent colourful crossing in Dumbarton.

Zoe enjoys practicing at the overlap of architecture and other creative arts; a space that lends itself to playful and experimental design processes. In summer 2021, she collaborated with fine artists to design an installation for Brainchild Festival, which was selected to form part of the festival infrastructure. The piece celebrated the magic of glamour, and stood as a space for performance, relaxation, and meeting.

“I enjoy working collaboratively and in an interdisciplinary setting as a way to expand my skill sets through learning from others, question the role of architecture from other perspectives, and discover unexpected new interests.”
