Rose is a Junior Designer. She joined New Practice in 2024.

Prior to joining New Practice, Rose graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2023. As an architectural practitioner, Rose is keen to focus on bringing more nature into our urban spaces; through creating public spaces which encourage biodiversity, and by introducing nature-based solutions to mitigate climate related effects.

Since graduating she has been exploring her passion for designing inclusive spaces through participation in ‘No Building As Usual’, a live-build project with Studio Bark. The outcome of this project was the creation of ‘Nest House’ which explored both accessibility and the capabilities of locally source timber for sustainable construction.

“I am interested in how we can harness people’s skills, combined with knowledge of crafts and traditions to create spaces that can be lived in and loved by people.

I enjoy learning about how we can live and build more sustainably, learning about new climate solutions and how we can use local, natural materials.”
