New Practice was invited by Kyle Buchanan and Mellis Haward (Archio) to contribute to the publication. This issue of the Design Studio series seeks to engage audiences with the most exciting design work worldwide, was to focus on the theme of collaboration.

The editors recognised the work of New Practice as exemplary within this theme, and pertinent and necessary for the publication is an important recognition of our work as a leading example of collaboration in the built environment. Our chapter sits alongside contributions from multi award winning globally recognised practices such as Feilden Clegg Bradley, Karakusevic Carson Architects and WIP Design Collective.

The contribution from New Practice was co-authored by Samuel Stair and Marc Cairns. The chapter used a creative lens of ‘architectural scales’ to examine different ‘scales of collaboration’ through case studies taken from New Practices previous projects.
