City Making: Leadership
Continuing our City Making programme for 2024 - New Practice are delighted to once again be partnering with Maccreanor Lavington who are returning to Glasgow to tackle the subject of ‘leadership’, this time in collaboration with Stallan-Brand.
The event will examine how best practice place-based design in our cities is fundamentally underpinned by activism, custodianship, leadership and governance and will feature presentations from Kevin Logan (Director, Maccreanor Lavington), Paul Stallan (Design Director, Stallan-Brand), Becca Thomas (Creative Director, New Practice) and more to be announced soon. A panel discussion exploring the challenges and opportunities for Glasgow will follow the presentations.
Maccreanor Lavington is an anglo-dutch practice based in Rotterdam and London with whom New Practice have collaborated with to deliver a wide range of work across London. Together in June 2023, we hosted the first of our City Making programme which looked at the collaborative process of place-based practice and featured presentations from architects, engineers, designers, developers and local government.
The conversation continues on Thursday 18th April, 6pm onwards at Stallan-Brand (80 Nicholson Street, G5 9ER). To request to attend, please contact rsvp@maccreanorlavington.com
