Abigail Blunt

Abigail is a Junior Designer. She joined New Practice in April 2019.

Prior to joining the practice, Abigail completed her Postgraduate Degree at the Glasgow School of Art in Design Innovation & Citizenship.

Abigail has a strong interest in with projects that tackle subjects within disability, mental health and young people - with a particular focus on ways to engage thoughtfully with varying audiences to discuss potentially challenging topics. Her interest in these particular topics tie very closely, not only with academic but with her personal experience, which she strives to express within her work. For her postgraduate thesis, Abigail developed a toolkit to engage educational figures with making mainstream schooling accessible to children who are deaf.

“My thesis - alongside a project creating a new AI focussed channel of communication for the Mental Health service for the NHS24, Breathing Space - has created ample opportunity to hone essential skills for engagement within complex subject areas which I look forward to bringing to the table in my professional practice. ”
